If your in need of some dim-sum but don’t wanna spend time waiting for a seat and don’t wanna spend too much cash on the dishes + tips, then this is the place to go! Its cheap, really cheap! I’m talking about recession-approved cheap.
Be sure to speak very loud here when you are ordering. By the way, don’t think that the lady is screaming at you like she is mad, thats just the way a lot of older Chinese ladies speak =P
It would be a plus if you can speak Cantonese too!
We got 6 dim sum dishes for only $10.37. My parents came here when they first opened and said the dishes were only $0.99 each but now its like a $1 something (inflation!) though still very reasonably priced!
We got 2 Har Gow’s, 1 siu mai, 1 lo mai go and some other things, including the infamous chicken feet! Every dish was surprisingly good and sure did hit the spot!! Even the char siu bao was fresh and tasted better than some sit-in dim-sum restaurants.
There is a good amount of seats inside so if you are hungry and wanna eat immediately then you can chillax for a bit!
They even have Hainan Chicken Rice here and for only $5 you get a huge portion of rice (carbs to keep you running the entire day) and a fatty portion of chicken too, along with the lovely onion-ginger-oil dip.
I decided to order 3 of those, one for myself of course. =P
Overall, if you want a quick dim-sum fix without the hassle of sitting down and waiting for a seat at Jasmine or Emerald, this is the place to go!! If you want the full experience with a tea-pot and the dim-sum carts being pushed around by loud Cantonese ladies, then this is not your place.
